We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in location as a position title. This is an ideal role for someone who is an innovative self starter, is detail oriented,  and who is an expert Excel user - ( to include Macros, Pivot Tables, VBA).  The ideal candidate will also be extremely consistent and timely with all tasks. 
 

 

Purpose:

The Senior financial analyst is responsible for generating and maintaining periodic financial reports. Responsible for assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process, tracing and explaining variances between budgeted and actual data, identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance.
  • Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuation.
  • Prepare financial schedules for board and committee meetings.
  • Assist in the budget and reforecast process.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as requested.
  • Review and analyze COGS schedules by product line on a timely basis.
  • Report financial metrics relating to manufacturing.
  • Review, investigate, and report root cause of manufacturing variances in a timely manner and propose solutions.
  • Develop sound understanding of how business decisions will impact cost of sales and inventory levels.
  • Provide back-up for FP&A Manager and Accounting Staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA/CMA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience as a Cost/Financial Analyst in a manufacturing company.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (emphasis on Pivots, data extraction/analysis functions, comfortable designing macros and maintaining existing VB code as needed)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Note Pad, etc.)
  • ERP system experience exposure to cost modules with a general understanding of underlying table structures and their relationships.
  • Detail oriented with analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Experience with writing queries and understanding database tables.
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven self starter that can work with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Position may periodically require extended hours to meet a cutoff or deadline.
  • Limited travel to satellite locations during physical inventory/special projects.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.
