The Texas Golf Association is a nonprofit organization that serves as the states governing body for amateur golf. Founded in 1906, the TGA is dedicated to promoting the game in Texas and serving its membership of over 450 clubs and more than 120,000 individual golfing members. The TGA Championship Department administers over 160 events and 350 days of competition each year that includes statewide and regional championships, the Legends Junior Tour, multiple major college tournaments, as well as 80-plus TGA and USGA qualifying events.
