Our clientele includes major manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and smaller food service operations.Role Summary:The Human Resources Director will serve as the cornerstone of the organization's human capital management strategy. The director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity across multiple business platforms but primarily focused at Coast Packing Company.Location:Vernon, CAResponsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive human resources policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance and support in all areas of human resources management, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, training, and development.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA requirements.Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.Conduct annual reviews of the employee handbook, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations, industry standards, and best practices, with updates communicated to all employees.Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing inquiries, interpreting contracts, and resolving work-related issues.Directly engage in hands-on activities and maintain regular face-to-face interaction with employees to foster operational excellence and effective communication.Own Environmental, Safety and Health (EHS) responsibilities for the organizationDevelop financial strategies for human resource operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and corrective actions.Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure legal compliance.Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and resolve personnel problems, recommending improvements to personnel policies and practices.Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development planning, to support employee growth and advancement.Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on human resources matters to support business objectives.Monitor and analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop proactive strategies to address challenges and opportunities.Lead HR-related initiatives and projects, such as organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and diversity and inclusion efforts.Provide succession planning for employees to foster the next generation of leaders.Attend industry conferences and events to educate, network, and market organization.Lead business start-ups inclusive of recruiting, onboarding and ongoing oversiteOther duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications:Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, typically:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Bilingual English/Spanish preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSelf-motivated and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.Able to maintain regular and consistent attendance.Effective verbal communication.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one conversations with other employees in the organization.Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to use common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts.Ability to work overtime.Ability to work in an environment with moderate to high noise level.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without accommodations.80% Office / 20 % PlantNoise level in the work environment is usually noise level (moderate, loud) within the plant.Benefits:Competitive base salaryAnnual BonusesPTO401KMedical, Dental, Vision benefits**We do not accept unsolicited 3rd party recruitment agency assistance.**#J-18808-Ljbffr
