BMD is seeking a motivated Merchandiser to call on retail accounts. We are seeking a go getter to join our team and someone that wants to maximize sales volume for both BMD and the account. This position is perfect for someone that has passion about representing and promoting BMD and its products. Someone that knows about providing excellent service and responding to customer needs is essential in professional networking to build and retain business. **This is a remote position in Northern California to cover East Bay and San Francisco territories. Frequent travel to customer locations in these areas are required. Company vehicle is provided.**

**Responsibilities:**

* Travel to retail accounts to represent the Company with integrity and professionalism, provide service to customers, and build effective relationships with store personnel

* Maintain proper stock level by physically stocking products on the sales floor

* Review shipping and receiving documents with local store personnel

* Ensure that products are displayed appropriately with proper signage and favorable shelf placement. Maintain neat and clean product areas

* Install or reset product displays, shelving and racking

* Partner with store personnel to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence

* Replace damaged, missing or out-of-stock signs and merchandising materials

* Launch promotional campaigns through product placement, signage, marketing materials and training staff

* Assist with customer product knowledge meetings

* Act as a liaison between the Company and the customer to resolve product, inventory and other issues

* Provide support for the Companys outside salespeople

* Represent the Company at customer promotional and product events, contractor events and home shows

* Identify sales and product opportunities and communicate to supervisor along with current market information. Submit weekly call reports to supervisor.

* Maintain current knowledge of products, including technical information and specifications

* Attend sales meetings

* Ability to lift and manuever up to 50lbs for product displays.

* Perform additional duties as required and requested

Bachelors or better in Marketing.

**Experience**

**Required**

Two years work experience in merchandising, customer service or sales, preferably in building products or a related industry.

Driver License Class C
