Episcopal Health Services, formerly the Church Charity Foundation of Long Island, was founded in 1851 to provide for "the spiritual and temporal wants of destitute widows and orphans, aged poor and needy sick and every class of suffering children." Episcopal Health Services still believes in that special responsibility of meeting the needs of everyone in its communities. Each site serves a cross-section of its service area, in Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau.
