Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara is seeking Gymnastics Coaches for our Summer Camp at our Goleta Valley Center.

Gymnastics Coach Essential Job Functions Include:
· Creating, preparing for, and coaching intentional gymnastics classes
· Ensuring gymnasts safety both physically and emotionally though active supervision while they participate in all aspects of the gymnastics program
· Actively spotting gymnasts during skills and coaching
· Keeping accurate records of attendance
· Abide and adhere to the safety requirements and procedures of our operations
· Developing and evaluating appropriate progressions for the gymnasts’ skill level
· Being a mentor and leader setting a positive example and role model for the gymnasts
· Encouraging, challenging, and supporting children as they experience gymnastics
· Participating in staff trainings, meetings, and events
· Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the gym facility, equipment, resources, and supplies
· Interacting with families in a positive and welcoming way

Minimum Requirements:
· Experience working with youth in gymnastics setting desired
· Ability to pass criminal background check or Clean criminal record
· Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
· Vaccinations as required by State Law for licensed child care facilities (TB, Pertussis and Measles
immunization. Flu vaccine recommended, but optional).
· Proof of COVID-19 vaccines and boosters. Exemptions may be requested for medical reasons or religious beliefs
· Strong communication skills and ability and desire to work as a team member of a diverse and dynamic team
Position Logistics:
· Summer Camp Operates June 24th – August 16th –staff must be available to work all 8 weeks
· Monday- Friday – staff must be available to work all 5 days
· Tentative Shifts: 8:30am-3:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
· Mandatory Staff Trainings
◦ Monday June 17th – Friday June 21st 9:00am – 4:00pm (in person)
◦ First Aid & CPR Wednesday June 19th or Saturday June 22nd 9:00am-4:00pm
Pay:
· $17.50 per hour depending on experience
