Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and highly organized Women’s Gymnastics Team Director to lead and oversee our competitive women’s gymnastics program. This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of the women’s team program — from athlete development and staff supervision to scheduling, communication, and meet preparation. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership:
Develop, implement, and oversee the vision and curriculum for the women’s competitive team program, ensuring alignment with USAG guidelines and club values. - Coaching & Athlete Development:
Coach athletes across various levels (Compulsory and Optional) with a focus on safety, skill progression, mental toughness, and personal growth. - Staff Management:
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate team coaches. Foster a collaborative and professional coaching environment. - Meet Coordination:
Manage all aspects of competition scheduling, athlete registration, travel arrangements, and meet preparation. - Parent & Athlete Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and athletes regarding schedules, expectations, progress, and upcoming events. - Administrative Duties:
Develop seasonal training plans, budgets, meet schedules, and staff assignments. Maintain athlete records, training logs, and USAG compliance documentation. - Facility & Equipment Oversight:
Ensure equipment is safe, well-maintained, and appropriate for the needs of the team program.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of coaching experience in women’s competitive gymnastics (Compulsory and Optional levels)
- Prior leadership or program management experience preferred
- USAG Professional Membership in good standing (or ability to obtain)
- Current Safety Certification, SafeSport, and Background Check (or ability to obtain)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to foster a positive, motivating, and supportive training environment
- Passion for mentoring athletes and helping them achieve their full potential both in and out of the gym
