Our client, a large editorial and publishing company in NYC, is looking for an Earned Media Manager for a long-term contract with a robust background in marketing and communications. In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategies that amplify brand presence across various media channels. Your expertise in social strategy and the influencer landscape, coupled with content partnerships, will drive impactful campaigns that resonate with their target audience. This position demands an individual who has thrived in the dynamic environment of large public relations or communications agency, collaborating on global or national brands. Experience in event marketing will be a significant advantage as you contribute to our holistic marketing efforts.

This is a 40-hour/week ongoing contract that requires 3-days/week onsite in Manhattan.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive earned media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key influencers and content creators to leverage their networks effectively.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment of earned media initiatives with overall marketing objectives.
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities within the influencer landscape and social media platforms to stay ahead of the curve.
• Execute content partnerships and collaborations to drive brand affinity and customer acquisition.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies and maximize ROI.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and navigate Earned opportunities.
• Maintain an understanding of the always-on news cycle with an understanding of the media landscape.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of proven experience in earned media within a large public relations or communications agency.
• Demonstrated understanding of social media strategy and the influencer landscape.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting data to drive informed decisions.
• Creative thinker with a passion for staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Experience in event marketing is a huge plus.
