SWD has won multiple awards for the best drinking water at the local, state, regional and national/international competitions. SWD is currently working with other utilities on building a sustainable and renewable water resource for Kitsap County by using reclaimed water for irrigation and commercial purposes distributed by a separate purple pipe system.
