R&D Test Engineer
Seats Incorporated has an exciting opportunity available in the Engineering Test Lab as an R&D Test Engineer. The position will directly involve the design and operation of test equipment as well as performing tests to the requirements of each application. R&D Engineers will work with emerging technologies in the field and will have a significant input in the design process of final customer products. R&D Engineers have the opportunity to creatively solve challenges within an ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities:
- Instrument and perform data collection to inform testing and design decision-making
- Analyze test and research data to improve product design
- Generate and review test and technical reports
- Develop test profiles for multi-axis servo hydraulic and electric test stations
- Analyze vibrations and failures in structures using sensors and software
- Build, test, and deploy supporting test systems
- Proactively provide status updates and progress metrics to supervisors
Required Skills:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire to be hands on with projects
- Basic understanding of DC circuits and an interest in measurement systems
- Good understanding of static body stress and material strength calculations
- Understanding of and interest in dynamic systems such as suspensions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and expand skills
- 3D CAD experience
- Experience with coding (especially in Python) is a plus
- Experience with LabVIEW or PLCs is a plus
