Position Summary:
Under the direction of the assistant principal/principal, the special education resource specialist provides specially designed academic instruction (SDAI) and supports utilizing appropriate strategies with identified students with disabilities who meet eligibility criteria established by state and federal law including but not limited to; support for the instructional program for students with special needs; pertinent information and consultant services to staff members and parents; on-going student assessment and evaluation; on-going planning with regular classroom teachers and also promotes and supports the school Student Study Team/SST; and instruction in all the content areas.
Requirements / Qualifications
Current Special Education Credential
