You might be right for this opportunity with one of Robert Half's clients, if you are a User Experience (UX) Designer. This is the job for you if you want to design the overall functionality of exciting products and iterate on that design to ensure a stellar user experience. As the User Experience (UX) Designer, you will also be tasked with originating and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating their results into various sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Northern New Jersey area. Please apply right away!
What you get to do every day
- Areas of focus may consist of content, controls, visual design, packaging, customer/technical support, branding, and other aspects of user experience
- Use results from user research and workflow analysis to craft strong experiences for users of a product
- Joining forces with other members of the digital marketing team on the creation of new initiatives
- Providing support to other team members as needed (QA, data entry, production updates, resizing of graphics, etc.)
- Working with business users and a team of application developers to translate requirements into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Completing usability testing on prototypes or finished products to assess the quality of a user experience
- Crafting tools such as personas, usage scenarios, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes
Requirements - Knowledge of graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography applications such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Candidates with strong interpersonal skills are preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of experience within the digital design/UX industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of navigating basic office equipment and protocols
- A portfolio exhibiting UX (wireframes/prototypes/other UX artifacts) and visual design work
- Understanding of Web Accessibility and testing tools (e.g. Lighthouse, Google Accessibility Developer Tools)
- Proficient in prototype/mockup software (e.g. Sketch, Balsamiq, Zeplin)
- Great attention to detail
