What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Accountant position at Robert Half?
Robert Half has partnered with a reputable client in the New Bedford area to hire a Payroll Accountant. Prepare and administer in-house weekly payroll. Ensure all employees are paid accurately, timely and in compliance with company’s policies, union contracts and governmental regulations.
Qualifications for the role include:
- 5 years processing payroll for multi-state payroll
- Must understand and be updated on payroll related regulations (wage and hour laws, IRS rules regarding wages, Union contracts, etc.)
- Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook are required.
- Understanding of Union Contracts, 940, 941, W2’s, 1099’s state unemployment tax and accruals.
