Title: Preschool Teacher

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Preschool Teacher. We are a Christian Daycare and utilize a Christian curriculum, and as such require our teachers to be Christians themselves. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children aged 2 to 5 years old. Your primary duty will be to implement our curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Responsibilities:
1. Plan and conduct educational activities and lessons based on the needs and interests of the children.
2. Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
3. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members through effective communication and collaboration.
4. Observe and assess children's progress and development, and provide feedback to parents as needed.
5. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime, mealtime, and rest periods.
6. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment regularly.
7. Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
8. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
9. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding in all interactions with children and families.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the daycare director or supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Must adhere to the Christian faith
2. Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
3. Strong passion for early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
6. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
7. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
8. Ability to pass a background check and provide references from previous employers or supervisors.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with the possibility of occasional overtime or weekend hours as needed. While a childcare-related degree is preferred, candidates with relevant experience and a passion for working with children will also be considered.
