Baldwin Risk Partners is Hiring a Compensation Analyst- Baldwin Risk Partners Near Tampa, FL

The Analyst, Compensation and Classification supports the ongoing administration of BRP's compensation framework by analyzing jobs, accurately classifying positions within our job and pay framework, consulting with stakeholders across the business on the appropriate classifications for colleagues (employees), and maintaining accurate job descriptions. This position also administers compensation programs including annual merit and bonus cycles, and may provide day-to-day guidance on compensation-related actions.
The Analyst, Compensation and Classification supports the ongoing administration of BRP's compensation framework by analyzing jobs, accurately classifying positions within our job and pay framework, consulting with stakeholders across the business on the appropriate classifications for colleagues (employees), and maintaining accurate job descriptions. This position also administers compensation programs including annual merit and bonus cycles, and may provide day-to-day guidance on compensation-related actions.
Additional Information:
  • Responsible for the execution of the BRP job analysis and governance process, wherein job documentation is collected, job analysis is conducted and recorded, job classification decisions are made, and the output is tracked and updated in BRP's HCM Workday.
  • Writes and updates job descriptions to ensure they are complete, accurate, understandable and succinct.
  • Provide consultative support to HR and leaders across the business to ensure they provide clear, complete, and well-written information regarding jobs and positions across the firm using BRP's Job Analysis Questionnaire (JAQ).
  • Meet with leaders, job incumbents, and any other additional stakeholders to fully understand roles that are under review. Work with leaders and HR to ensure all necessary updates to the job documentation are made.
  • Evaluate JAQs for alignment with existing roles or establishment of new job profiles. Collect and analyze additional information where required to appropriately classify people and positions.
  • Monitor all incoming requests to ensure follow up and resolution occurs in alignment with service level expectations.
  • Contacts and collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) from across the firm as needed to understand peer or comparable roles.
  • Prepares and presents all job evaluations for approval to senior management (Job Review Committee), completing all information request by the JRC, and records final decisions on job and pay classifications.
  • Makes recommendations on appropriate grade level and FLSA status for the position.
  • Participate in salary surveys and analyze data to determine internal and external competitiveness
  • Support the development, implement, and administer compensation programs through analytical assignments
  • Conduct Human Resources analytics, interpret trends, and support proactive planning
  • Design and prepare ad hoc compensation and budget-related reports for management
  • Assist in annual merit increase, incentive programs, and budget preparation
  • Analyze data and market trends to develop salary structures and pricing recommendations
  • Evaluate job positions for classification, exempt/nonexempt status, and appropriate salary levels
  • Enhance market relativity knowledge through wage surveys, job pricing, benchmarking, and market analysis
  • Analyze and present data to stakeholders digitally, in-person, and in written forms
  • Administer compensation survey software, monitor discrepancies, and align with market changes
  • Communicate and implement the compensation strategy and philosophy across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline
  • 4 years of professional compensation experience in mid-to-large sized organization
  • Robust experience in job evaluation and job documentation
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and prioritize work on an autonomous basis
  • Adaptable and flexible; comfortable working under ambiguous, changing conditions
  • Organized and self-directed; able to manage multiple tasks / activities at the same time
  • High attention to detail, balanced with appreciation of the bigger-picture goals and objectives
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to manage stakeholder relationships across various levels of seniority
  • Demonstrates the organization's core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm's culture
  • Proficiency in computerized office applications, with excellent database and spreadsheet skills
  • Interpretation and application of laws, policies, and regulations with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Data compilation and analysis skills to create a compelling data storyline
  • Prioritization and workload organization, coordination of special projects, and effective teamwork
  • Initiative-taking and independent judgment, coupled with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Research capabilities, meeting facilitation, and decision-making processes
  • Effective verbal and written communication at all organizational levels, with experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation
  • Application of analytical methods to drive improved decision-making and outcomes in business contexts
  • Maintenance of strict confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy when handling sensitive information, fostering cooperation across all levels of the organization
  • CCP designation, or progress toward certification
  • Experience at a public organization
  • Prior experience with Workday Core HCM and Workday Compensation module and implementation
  • Prior experience with Payfactors or MarketPay compensation management platforms and implementation

100% remote eligible position for the right professional
