Facilities Technician
Reports To: Office Manager

The Facilities technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of building systems and equipment. These tasks would include light maintenance work, cleaning and ensuring the facility is organized. In addition to repairs, the technician may be responsible for performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues before they arise. Good communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, identify repair, and maintaining related Maintenance Log
- Promptly respond to and resolve all facility email requests/helpdesk requests
- Assist with monitoring inventory levels of all facility supplies, such as cleaners, kitchen/paper goods, bathroom supplies, first aid supplies
- Performing routine preventative maintenance and upkeep of repair logs
- Perform daily cleaning throughout the facility
- Move furniture or cubicles as needed to support office and equipment moves
- Assist with building projects, renovations, or refurbishments
- Service Coffee/soda fountain daily and ensure upkeep
- Ensure facility is organized daily to allow use of all common spaces including break room, restroom, training rooms, meeting rooms, etc
- Identify proactive maintenance opportunities
- Perform light checks to ensure lighting is in proper working order
- Partnering with Office Manager to discuss maintenance issues
Qualifications:
General experience in repair/maintenance of equipment and physical building preferred
- Proficient knowledge in Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to understand and describe complex problems.
- Has a clear understanding of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Able to execute multiple projects concurrently.
- Able to articulate honest, constructive feedback to supervisor, peers, and direct reports.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and hit deadlines
