What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Operations Specialist position at Mitsubishi Motors North America?
This position reports to the Franklin, TN headquarters of MMNA, and the successful candidate must live in or near the Greater Nashville Area or be willing to move. In accordance with MMNA's unique and strong work from home culture, post-onboarding (~60 days) this position can be performed often from home except for the occasional team meeting or project meeting. However, again, the successful candidate must at least live within or near the Greater Nashville Area, and unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Support assigned projects from inception to post-execution; the person in this role is primarily responsible for supporting development, execution, maintenance, and reporting to MMNA Leadership, and including adherence to key project timeline milestones. Serve as the internal SME with respect to assigned projects, acting as primary support of all aspects of the projects. In addition, this position will act as a point of contact for the regions and field personnel for Aftersales Service Operations programs. (Ex: MiCar, RedCap Ride Share, Future programs – Service Loaner, Connected Car).
- Provide support for assigned projects, including communication with third party vendors and others assigned or related to the assigned projects. Ensure that the agreed upon service is well defined and consistently met or exceeded. Work with 3rd party vendors to resolve any performance related issues.
- Track and report on strategic project objectives and deliverables to ensure business partners’ expectations are met. Analyze and report on charges and costs, resource management, and internal/external planning.
- Develop excellent internal working relationships cross-departmentally and leverage those relationships to regularly communicate information associated with projects and programs.
- Assess and measure effectiveness of programs over time, and when necessary, provide recommendations to MMNA Leadership for ongoing improvement measures. Research and present recommendations on cost savings, avoidance opportunities, and other efficiency enhancements. Collaborate with business partners when necessary to drive continuous improvement and develop action plans.
- Create presentations and assist with developing reports for assigned projects and programs as requested.
- Acts as a team player within the Aftersales Service Operations team to provide assistance where needed to ensure overall team success.
- Interact with and provide program support to the Field Team and Dealerships for the programs management by the Service team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (business discipline or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an ability to bring multiple people/partners/groups together for project collaboration.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and producing a quality work product; accustomed to working in a fast-paced global environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft suite of products (Excel; PowerPoint; Word; Outlook)
- Must be willing to learn new things, work in new areas, and thrive in an environment where independent decision-making may be required. This is a new role with responsibilities in many areas, and the successful candidate must be comfortable assessing Company needs and making recommendations for their own projects and goals.
