Overview

We are looking for quality minded individuals who have attention to detail and want to learn more about sterile compounding. Our demand is growing, and we need additional team members to support our Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and Batch Compounding sterile production. Our work occurs primarily during the day with shifts as early as 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and as late as 10:30 AM to 7 PM. This position requires working every 4^th weekend once training is completed. This work is very hands-on and includes the opportunity to learn many different skills. Centralized compounding is a unique closed-door pharmacy department that services all of IU Health’s facilities including both inpatient and outpatient settings. Previous sterile compounding experience is not required; we can provide all the training you need to become a sterile compounding expert!

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training OR Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy or enrolled in or graduated from an ASHP/ACPE accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires ability to learn basic pharmacy technician skills in assigned areas and work under close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.
• Requires ability to learn effective written and communication skills.
• Requires ability to learn and execute customer services skills.
• Requires basic proficiency typing and using Microsoft office applications.
