We are seeking an energetic, loving and experienced Teacher to join our team! At First Southern Christian School we are a family working together to serve the children and their families and support one another.
As a teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, implementing a comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to become a well rounded student. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a heart for serving!
Responsibilities:

• Encourage the development of students critical thinking skills
• Create weekly lesson plans
  • Prepare any necessary learning materials
• Assign homework
• Take attendance
• Grade assignments and provide feedback
• Document students learning progress
• Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
  • Establish a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Report and document behavioral incidents
• Communicate with parents regarding the students' progress
• Attend training workshops
• Plan educational field trips

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree or higher and state teaching certification
  • Preferably in Elementary Education
• Previous experience teaching at the k-6 level is preferred
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to help students social and emotional issues that arise
• Flexible
• Able to establish good relationships with the students, families and staff
