Crew Leader - Construction
The Construction Crew Leader performs many tasks that require labor on construction sites. They are able to perform a wide range of tasks varying from very to extremely difficult and hazardous.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly as needed or with assistance.
• Adhere to Company Safety Standards, including the proper use of machinery and equipment.
• Load and unload materials around the worksite manually and with use of equipment.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure the successful completion of ongoing or new construction as well as lead a team to
accomplish goals in an efficient and timely manner.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, as needed.
• Perform site clean-up and reload leftover materials after job assignment is complete.
• Read blueprints and civil drawings, as needed.
• Lifts, carries and holds materials, tools and supplies.
• Cleans tools, equipment, materials and work areas.
• Spends time working on one job or may be transferred from task to task as project progresses to completion.
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned.
• Assist in installation/repair of all fueling components.
• Cut and thread pipe and assist in the fitting and installation of underground and above-ground tanks.
• Ensure all tools are accounted for, cleaned, and organized on the truck or job trailer.
REQUIREMENTS
• Be punctual
• Be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Be able to understand and follow specific directions from supervisors.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions and climates.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Must have a clean driving record and willing to provide a Ga MVR.
• CDL License is preferred.
• Ability to pass periodic drug testing.
• Ability to work over-time as/if needed.
• Ability to work out-of-town and overnight as necessary.
• Ability to stand, crouch, stoop, sit, bend, climb, and use hands/fingers to handle equipment.
• Ability to operate a backhoe, track hoe, forklift, excavator and trencher is preferred.
• Knowledge of different types of piping
QUALIFICATIONS
• US work authorization
• Valid Drivers License.
• Clean driving record.
• Transportation to and from work.
• Drug free.
• Be willing to do manual labor.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card.
• Ability to work independently and with little to no supervision.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic understanding of taking measurements, math, and mechanical skills.
*Pay scale is based on experience.
