Summary Lov N Care Children's Academy is looking to hire a part-time afternoon Teacher Assistant. We offer competitive pay based on registry level and experience. You will be responsible for assisting developing and implementing the curriculum, managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children and resolve parental concerns. Duties
Review learning material with students, either individually or in small groups, to help reinforce lessons presented by lead teachers
Create relationships and bond with the students and families
Aid in teaching appropriate behavior and social skills to students
Assist in enforcing school and classroom rules
Assist with record keeping, such as attendance records, student progress notes
Help teachers prepare for lessons by assembling materials and equipment
Provide personal aid and care as necessary to students, such as help with hygiene, eating or toileting, for example
Maintain a clean classroom by disinfecting daily and weekly, moping, sweeping, etc.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
