Midwest Foods is a wholesale food distributor providing top quality food products to numerous food establishments in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. We import fruits & vegetables from all over the world and distribute these products to local markets.

We are currently hiring CDL Delivery Drivers , shipping out of Chicago.

CDL B Route Delivery Drivers Shift: 1st (start time between 2:00AM-6:00AM); Work Monday - Saturday, Sunday & 1 wkday off

CDL A Tractor Trailer Driver Shift: 1st ( start times may vary in the morning) Monda-Saturday, Sunday & 1 wkday off 

Job Description:

• Make deliveries in a timely and safe manner, following the MOD routing

• Unload the truck using Pallet Jack and Two Wheeler
• Maintain communication with MOD during deliveries, communicate any issues/delays
• Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids and fill out pre-inspection sheet
• Bring back to the warehouse signed invoices
• Clean truck at the end of the shift

Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid CDL License, class B or A with a clean driving record
• Must have AIR BRAKE endorsement
• Must pass the DOT Physical Test
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Minimum 1 year driving experience
• Must be able to work Saturdays
• Able to read a map/GPS and get to the accounts in a timely manner
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to handle clients with diplomacy and tact
• Capable of following instructions and procedures
• Recognize and understand product names and UOM
• Lift/carry/pull/push product up to 60 lbs
• Good reading/writing skills

Pay: CDL Tractor Trailer: $26/hr

CDL Route Delivery: $23/hr.
