Job Location: St.Lawrence County - Canton, NY
Salary Range: $58,458.00 - $66,057.00 Salary/year

Description

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work – Monday-Friday; 7:30am to 4:00pm; flexible to the needs of the program.

Qualifications - BA/BS in Human Services or related field, and (3) years of professional/supervisory experience in human services field. QIDP status required. At least one year direct care experience with developmentally disabled required. Valid/acceptable NYS driver’s license.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance – Authorized to work in the United States.

Summary/Objective - Responsible for the complete oversight of the Career Solutions Program to include any regulatory changes and/or updates. Responsible for each assigned person’s we support vocational plan of service and required program documentation. Responsible for the supervision of the Employment Aids, Employment Specialists, and Community Based Vocational Counselor. Responsible for the oversight and implementation of staff training. Responsible for keeping the Administrator of Community Based Employment & Community Prevocational Services informed of any concerns and/or updates.

Essential Functions – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Complete oversight of Career Solutions program; including hiring and training of staff.
  2. Manage a team of staff members, delegate tasks, and communicate effectively in order to ensure consistency and efficient follow through of the goals of the program.
  3. Foster an environment that promotes communication and teamwork.
  4. Oversees caseloads on all contracts.
  5. Review timecards, trackers and timesheet program to make sure they are consistent.
  6. Provide oversight of staff for contract compliance to ensure quality services, timely/accurate data collection and billing.
  7. Provide and collect statistical data of people we support regarding program and services.
  8. Report to and take direction from Administrator of Community Based Employment.
  9. Attend Trainings and Seminars related to Supported Employment and program management.
  10. Follows all agency policies and procedures.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility – Employment Aide, Employment Specialist, Community Based Vocational Counselors and assigned administrative staff

TRAVEL – As needed within St. Lawrence County and Jefferson County.

WORK ENVIRONMENT - This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
