The dynamic leader will serve as the executive sponsor and community advocate for our new not-for profit venture, North Tampa Christian Academy (NTCA), located in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Construction of the school will be completed by May of 2018 and will open for classes a few weeks later, in August. The school will have the capacity to serve up to 700 children from early childhood education through high school. NTCA will be owned and operated by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, assuring Christian values in the educational services provided.
As a top tier education resource, NTCA enrollment will be open to the full community. Further, the school will provide contemporary learning labs and teaching methods that apply the latest innovative techniques for educating young minds.
The President will be the direct supervisor for the Head of School and for the Advancement services of the school. In addition to overall leadership, the President will dedicate significant time focusing on the branding, marketing, enrollment management, and philanthropy functions.
Further, the President will be the primary liaison between the school, the board, and the sponsors of the school. Key sponsors at the outset will be the Adventist Church, as owner, and Florida Hospital, a major benefactor. These two sponsors are responsible for appointing the NTCA board to govern the school.

Provide oversight for school operations, and encouragement to the campus leadership, understanding that the Head of School manages the daily affairs of the school

Chair the Business Planning Committee of the school that includes the School Administrators, plus Finance Director and Advancement Director

Serve as an advocate for the school across the community as a goodwill ambassador

Personally guides the advancement functions of the school to assure achievement of enrollment and fundraising goals with daily engagement supporting these functions

Serves as a member of the Board, plus the coordinator of Board meetings, Board committees and all governance related activities

Opens and manages strategic alliances for the school

Assures that the schools business plan is effectively developed and deployed to achieve the mission and goals, producing long-term sustainability

The President reports directly to the NTCA Board and specifically is accountable outside of governing board meetings to the Chairman of the Board
Qualifications

expertise
and experiences

need to succeed:

The prior experience of the president will include not-for profit start-up and/or business development services with evidence of skills for growing volume and wealth for the mission

The successful candidate will have a distinguished educational background with a graduate degree in a relevant academic field
