About the Position
The Health Agency is seeking a self-motivated, qualified professional to fill the position of temporary help Nurse Practitioner at the Juvenile Services Center, candidates interested in Nurse Practitioner opportunities working in reproductive health programs are also encouraged to apply. Temporary Nurse Practitioners serve as on-call back up support for nurses on duty. Nurse Practitioners may be scheduled to work in the evenings and on weekends, or scheduled to cover vacations and leaves.
Under supervision of a licensed physician, in accordance with established protocol, and as allowable under a State of California Nurse Practitioner, performs physical and psycho-social assessments; establishes medical diagnosis; orders and evaluates diagnostic tests; and manages follow-up care.

The Ideal Candidate
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Education and experience required to receive and maintain a license to practice as a Registered Nurse and registration as a Nurse Practitioner from the California Board of Registered Nursing.
Licenses and Certificates
Pursuant to Section 2835 of the California Business and Professions Code, possession of a license to practice as a Registered Nurse and registration as a Nurse Practitioner from the California Board of Registered Nursing is required at time of application and must be maintained throughout employment.
