Juvenile Supervision Officer/Senior Juvenile Supervision Officer
REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor
Duties:
- Supervise and monitor the activities of juvenile offenders in a correctional facility
- Maintain order and discipline among the residents
- Conduct regular security checks and inspections of the facility
- Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents
- Provide counseling and guidance to residents to promote positive behavior
- Assist in the implementation of educational and vocational programs for residents
- Document incidents, write reports, and maintain accurate records of resident activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle physical confrontations if necessary
- Knowledge of juvenile justice system and rehabilitation principles is a plus
- Juvenile Supervision Officer starting pay is $20.00*
- Senior Juvenile Supervisor Officer starting pay is $21.00* (Applicants must have six months experience working with at-risk youth in a secure or non-secure treatment/detention facility.)
*Applicants may be reviewed on an individual basis for relevant experience and education considerations.
Note: This position requires working with juvenile offenders in a secure facility. It is important to have a genuine interest in helping young individuals turn their lives around.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,760.00 - $47,840.00 per year
