POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist under general supervision applies a broad knowledge of HR functions in supporting the day-to-day administration of full-cycle talent acquisition, onboarding, leave administration compliance and HR analytics. This role provides resources and shares information regarding company policies and processes and ensures that department policies and procedures follow applicable employment laws. The Human Resources Generalist proactively communicates and partners with the HR Team to improve all HR processes and procedures to deliver value to the organization. This role reports to the Vice President Human Resources and works in the Denver office.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts full-cycle recruiting including but limited to; compose position descriptions, post vacancies, review resumes, source candidates, conduct phone screens, extend offers of employment and all applicable tracking in ATS
- Supports onboarding and offboarding process including welcoming new hires and conducting exit interviews
- Administer all leave of absences including FML, STD, Workers Compensation and other company leaves while maintaining compliance with application state, local and federal laws. Advises, interprets, and provides direction and coaching to employees and managers on benefit and leave of absence administrative procedures
- Performs day-to-day Human Resources administrative tasks ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Advises, interprets, and provides direction and coaching to employees and managers on policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with applicable state, local and federal laws
- Assists with employee relations issues working Senior Human Resources Generalist; assist with documenting and investigating employee incidents/accidents; prepares disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Assist with the counsel and / or coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations in line with local culture and the business and legal environment
- Manage AskHR email box daily; assign to appropriate team member and respond to employee HR questions
- Provide HR analytic reporting monthly and ad-hoc as needed
- Develops standard operating procedures for the HR Team; document HR processes and create work aids and training documents as needed
- Ensures job descriptions are accurate and complete when roles and/or structural changes occur. Ensure each position has a current job description organization wide
- Assist with performance management review process including communications, trainings, and tracking
- Support the revision of the Employee Handbook annually
- Assist with employee recognition programs
- Ensures records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, terminations, leaves are accurately entered and managed in HRIS; in addition, performance improvement plans, and performance reviews etc. are accurately administered and filed
- Supports the Human Resources team in meeting department priority initiatives and goals
- Maintain respectful and productive working relationships within and across all work groups, ensuring effective collaboration and cooperation

OTHER DUTIES
- Support corporate wide HR training in Denver and Pinedale field offices, where appropriate
- Travels to field office to conduct relevant Human Resources meetings for employee and / or management
- Assist with and manage employee training and development activity including LinkedIn Learning licenses and reporting
- Maintain employee personnel files that align with human resources employment law regulations
- Supports contribution of content and maintains the Human Resources page on the companys Intranet site
- Drafts monthly HR newsletters regarding our people and wellness
- Stays apprised of best practices and changing employment laws
- Serves as payroll back-up; process bi-weekly payroll and verification of employment as needed
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned to support the success of the department and company

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 3 years experience in a human resource generalist role
- Core competencies in recruiting, HR administration, new employee orientation and compliance

- Previous experience in Oil and Gas Exploration & Production
- Human Resources Generalist experience with emphasis on recruiting

Salary : $67,500 - $80,000
