SALARY: $64,800 - $77,900 with up to 10 years of aligned experience

The Human Capital Business Partner will serve as the direct contact for a portfolio of schools and as a thought partner for the larger Human Capital team. This person will play a key role in DSST’s people philosophy by redefining how Human Resources serve staff in public education. Key Roles & Responsibilities
Human Resources Business Partner (80%)
- Serve as the primary Human Resources Business Partner for a portfolio of DSST campuses in areas including communicating DSST's Human Resources Policies, FMLA, employee support, onboarding, benefits, compensation and leave of absence
- Assist in maintaining the DSST employee database ensuring complete and accurate data is kept at all times
- Lead HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with organization objectives.
- Work closely with other members of the Employee Resources team to identify, innovate and implement new ways to improve the experience of DSST staff.
- Provide counsel and support to managers on HR policies and compliance issues.
- Model our Core Values, Commitment to the Human Condition, and our commitment to equity as a Leader within the Network
- Play an active leadership role in building and sustaining Home Office culture
- Engage with our school communities to actively build relationships between our schools and the home office
- Participate in & support the execution of Home Office & Network-wide events
- Bachelor’s degree required or current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 year experience supporting Human Resources
- At least 1 year experience supporting HR Systems and Workflows including FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, Benefits, and Employee Relations
- At least 2 years experience providing exceptional Customer Service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams, Microsoft Excel, & Google Suite
- You have strong communication skills and are comfortable giving and receiving honest feedback for continuous improvement
- You take the time to understand the process behind what you’re doing and try to find ways to streamline your work
- You have a service mindset and will do whatever you can to remove barriers and distractions for school staff to ensure they can devote all of their focus to serving our students
- You have a sense of urgency and strong time-management: You are passionate about doing whatever it takes to change the status quo of public education
- You are mission-driven: You have a desire to change the way the public school system serves students, so that all kids – regardless of race, ethnicity, or income – have the opportunity to go to college
- Previous knowledge of employee relations
- Previous experience in an educational setting or an educational CMO
- Experience working with Workday
