This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven professional with strong Financial Reporting skills to join our Accounting team. This person will play a key role within our organization supporting the functional areas of corporate and financial management, project management, sales, service, and an equipment shop. The right candidate will command strong organization and time management skills and be a power user of financial information systems and spreadsheet analyses. This is a full time in office position in our northwest suburban location. Our group of companies' design, sell, lease, and service large capital equipment systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Lead the month end close process to produce an accurate and meaningful financial statement package for multiple operating units, including job gross profit analyses.

* Support the annual financial audit.

* Guide accounting clerical staff, as needed.

* Support project managers and sales team in finalizing job budgets and analyzing job cost.

* Revenue recognition on long term customer contracts.

* Prepare corporate income tax supporting schedules.

* Perform account analyses and reconciliations including job gross profit analyses.

* Accurate capitalization and depreciation of fixed assets.

* Forecasting.

* Preparation of cash flow analyses.

Qualifications/Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required

* Strong knowledge of GAAP

* Strong Excel Skills using pivot tables, VLOOKUP's & SUMIF functions

* Experience with job cost systems and inventory preferred

* Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects

* Must be able to meet regularly scheduled deadlines

* At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience

* Strong communication and analytical skills

* Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central experience a plus

* Special projects related to accounting and finance
