What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pavement Consultant position at Impact Solutions Inc?
We are looking for a pavement expert to provide pavement management services and expertise to a diverse mix of our clients. Utilizing your knowledge of pavements and knack for building strong client relationships, you’ll evaluate pavements, validate options for maintenance/rehabilitation /construction, generate budget strategies, create detailed plans, and manage the construction process.
Under the mentorship of our Pavement Consultant Lead (with 40 years of experience), you’ll have the opportunity to fast-track your career development into potential leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities & Duties
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
- Rate pavement conditions using a PASER system customized to meet the specific needs of commercial pavement
- Validate options for maintenance and rehabilitation strategies
- Generate budget strategies consistent with your asset management process
- Provide detailed plans and specifications for competitive bidding
- Manage the construction process to validate correct materials and procedures are followed
- Assist with expanding service clientele by identifying, acquiring, developing, and managing a diverse portfolio of clients
- Collaborate with our team to utilize drones and other advanced technology to improve client deliverables
- Be the primary point of contact for our clients, partners, and subconsultants
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in pavement management, civil engineering, or pavement construction, including:
- Evaluating asphalt or concrete pavement, designing new pavement, or construction inspection
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports and specifications
- Onsite project management and construction inspection
- Working with/for pavement contractors
- An associate degree is preferred, but not required
- Experience in client interaction and/or business development
- Be team-oriented yet individually driven, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, have advanced problem-solving abilities, and be deadline-oriented
- Ability to travel (Wisconsin and Midwest) up to 25% of the time. Staff keeps all travel points and incentives earned and can be used for personal use.
