DISPATCHER JOB DESCRIPTION
A courier , vehicle dispatcher is a skilled, effective, multitasking individual who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment. They use technology, risk assessment, maps, transportation options, time constraints and other information to assign open orders for couriers and drivers to complete in required time parameters. RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, prioritizing, assigning, and coordinating all activities to ensure that our customers needs are met or exceeded on a daily basis. Communication should be clear, concise, motivating and tactful to both employees and customers alike. Ability to prioritize as needed as well as resolve customers issues within a timely manner. Documentation of above activities regarding job assessments and special needs. Communicate with customers via telephone and or email to assure updated information has been received.
Requirements

• Computer technology: Windows 2016, Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Maps, GPS Mapping software . Xcelerator by Key Software
• Knowledge of Geography of NYC and surrounding areas including MTA trains, Highways and Bridges
• English language both verbal and written
• WP at least 40wpm
• Logical reasoning to identify solutions to resolve problems

Qualifications

• Associate Degree/ Preferred Bachelors Degree in Business or Management
• 2 years dispatching experience or other related industry or transferable skills
