Hammer Residences Overview

Hammer is a nonprofit organization with a passion for providing quality services for adults and children with intellectual disabilities. Founded in 1923 by Alvina Hammer, it was one of only two Minnesota organizations at that time to offer people with disabilities the opportunity to thrive in a school and home setting. 90 years later, our mission remains true to Miss Hammers founding vision. We are a community of people who respect the individuals abilities, whose collective spirit makes dreams come true and whose innovations continue to lead the way.
