Hours: Range 8am - 7pm

Position Overview:

The team member will perform tasks to ensure high quality standards of food production, cleaning, and packaging always. The team member participates in all food preparation, packaging, general and deep cleaning duties, logs, storing of food and non-food supplies, washing dishes and other tasks assigned by leadership. The team member will undertake all assigned duties with an effort to please our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensures that food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet company standards.

Assists with meal production including but not limited to preparing, cooking, cleaning, and packaging meals.

Ensures all prepared items are labeled and dated.

Works to reduce waste and spoilage.

Ensures that production is done using correct measuring devices, and all recipes are accurately followed.

Follows and complies with established company procedures and adhere to safe work practices.

Keeps kitchen continually clean, well-maintained, and organized.

Refers to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for most up to date and complete policies and procedures.

Assist cooks in preparation and packaging of various foods as designated by the day’s prep list and in accordance with standard recipes & procedures.

Washes all Dishes and Maintains proper facility cleanliness.

Communicates with Kitchen Supervisor and Management throughout the shift regarding status of prep and availability of product

Cleans, organizes, and maintains walk-in refrigerator, prep, and dry storage area.

Stores and properly handles raw or prepared foods and non-food supplies.

Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen in a safe and proper manner.

Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene.

Follows safety regulations, reporting injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent

Knowledge of basic food handling techniques, safe work practices, and ability to use kitchen tools and equipment.

Demonstrated ability to plan for and prepare high quality meals in large quantities.

Experience as a Food Service team member is required.

Experience in a high-volume food production environment is preferred.

Training in pre-packaged food service or meal preparation is desirable.

Fundamental understanding of commercial kitchen sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene

Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance

Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language

Requires moderate physical efforts: standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing, and lifting of weights up to 50#

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions involve, noise, heat changes in temperature, kitchen elements, odors, moisture, etc.

May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing.

Must have proper kitchen footwear.
