General Job Description:

As a Food Service Manager (FSM), you will be responsible for the coordination and preparation of meals for Golden Gate Inc centers. You will communicate daily with the directors of each center to determine the count for meals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing a meal prep calendar, providing culinary activities each week for school-aged children, and covering classrooms when needed to be advised by the director of the center.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing meals for Golden Gate Inc centers.

• Coordinating culinary activities weekly for school-aged children.

• Preparing reports and maintaining food safety daily logs as required.

• Ensuring breakfast, lunch, and snack items are served in a timely manner.

• Promoting facility cleanliness and reporting needs for maintenance or repairs.

• Completing training courses as required by facility training standards.

• Ensure high-quality food comes from the kitchen.

• Complete incident reports when applicable.

• Follow all food and safety regulations.

• Attend staff meetings regularly.

• Provide a monthly culinary monthly calendar

• Promote awareness of new discoveries such as food allergies.

• Stay current with state guidelines as it pertains to food options for childcare centers.

Qualifications for Job:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• ServSafe certification required.

• CARI completed and approved.

• CHRI completed and approved.

• Training in cultural conscious inclusion preferred.

• Ability to communicate.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Ability to assist in the social and emotional development of children.

• Ability to be physically alert on the shift that is assigned.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

• Ability to forecast supplies as needed

• Work experience in a culinary setting preferred.

• Required to possess a valid state driver’s license.

• Must be mature, flexible, able receive corrective feedback

• Mandatory CPR, First Aid, Airborne and Blood borne pathogens training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
