Job Title Processing / Packaging Division Department Shipping

Reports To Shipping and Receiving Manager

Position Overview Inspects forgings for conformance to specifications, fix defects if possible, applying knowledge of metal characteristics and forging methods. Roles / Responsibilities Examines forgings to detect surface defects, such as underfill, scale, mismatch, laps, and cracks. Completes paperwork filling in all areas required. Reads job order to determine if all specified operation, such as heat-treating, cleaning, have been performed Performs other related duties as required or directed. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Grind parts when necessary

Self Motivated Specific Vocational Preparation (education & experience level)Skilled - From one to two years Internal Training. Needs How to use gages. How to fill out Cold Inspection Forms. How to read a PCP. Know what tags to use and when How to fill out tags. Where to look on parts for defects. Where to find samples of defects.
