OUR IMPACT

We are part of the FICC FX Structuring Strats team. The team advises institutional and corporate clients on how to optimise their FX trading programmes across a range of different discretionary and non-discretionary workflows.

The Strats business unit is a world leader in developing quantitative and technological expertise to solve complex business problems. Working within the firm's trading, sales, banking and investment management divisions, strats use their mathematical and scientific training to create financial products, advise clients on transactions, measure risk, and identify market opportunities.

YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for a professional to join the FICC FX Solutions Strats team, with a specialisation on the Passive Currency Overlay (PCO) platform. The team operates, innovates, and distributes software and API-enabled products for FX risk management.

PCO is an established, but also fast-growing, product line which provides clients with a single unified software to manage their end-to-end FX risk management, converting raw exposure data into a programmatic FX hedging solution. This is a key front-office role responsible for operating the day-to-day business; contributing to our track record of innovation around new functionality and products and interacting constantly with our global footprint of hundreds of clients.

You will work closely with our partners in Sales; Trading; Systematic Market Making and Marquee (in addition to other Strat teams).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The role is very varied, and you will interact with a broad spectrum of the existing GBM client base as well as contributing to our growth and diversification strategies to grow the business in new client sectors and geographies. Ultimately, all our business lines involve the quantification and review of foreign currency exposures, so some interest in macro markets would be valuable. We need someone who is commercially minded and highly motivated by delivering on our ambitious revenue targets. This person will be an effective written and oral communicator and comfortable working with clients globally. They will also be expected to contribute to the day-to-day problem-solving and troubleshooting that comes with working in a technology-led business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong academic background in a quantitative or technical discipline
• Understanding of basic financial maths concepts, e.g. Interest rate differentials; carry structure; liquidity and strong interest in finance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of diligence and discipline
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, demonstrating initiative and showing commercial impact

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Coding and software design skills in any recognized programming language e.g. Python, Java, C
• Experience within FX
• Experience working with client-facing software products and thinking about customer journeys
• Experience developing and supporting risk systems

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$300000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
