This practice runs assisted hygiene and compensation for a well-qualified, skilled hygienist can be based on hygiene collections from two chairs that are currently booked through the end of May.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

* Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene

* Current North Carolina Dental Hygienist license (or immediate eligibility)

* CPR certification required; BLS certification is a plus

Experience and Training

* Preferred clinical experience in a high-functioning dental office, with preference given to experience operating in an assisted hygiene model

* Training on an electronic medical record

* EPIC training is a major plus, but not necessary

* Local anesthesia training is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

* Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Time management

* Punctuality

* Receptive to feedback, performance improvement, and continuous coaching

* Flexibility to cover other offices under High Point University Health

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Be an elite HPU Health provider

* Prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, patient education, and other clinical functions

* Continuously assesses the hygiene schedule ensuring optimum patient flow

* Responds to patient, clinical, and operational concerns timely and effectively.

* Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations

* Supports practice and organizational goals

ACCOUNTABILITY:

* Director of Clinical Operations

* Evaluation: Ongoing performance reviews is conducted along with an annual assessment by the CDO and includes input from the faculty and students.
