R+L Global is Hiring a Director of Quality Assurance Near Ocala, FL

Directory of Quality Assurance is responsible for assuring that all of the various operational as well as financial systems are operating correctly and optimally, as well auditing all of the current processes, becoming the system matter expert. This includes monitoring operating practices and the financial and risk management processes of the organization.

Director of Quality Assurance responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all auditing operations with both the Operational teams as well as the Financial and IT teams.
  • Partners with key leadership teams to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and solutions to support organizational goals and objectives
  • Develops and implements major short-range and long-range goals to support broad functional objectives
  • Develops systems and processes to continue to automate the various operations and Accounting functions to set the company up for continues long term growth
  • Work with the various teams in the sales operations, billing, accounts payables, order corrections, and credit and collections functions
  • Focuses on optimizing the various systems both operational as well as Accounting, that are utilized in the order to cash cycle to improve the company’s performance
  • Help with the various training on systems for both new and current employees in order to have operational excellence across the company
  • Design, implement and maintain procedures and controls; verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value
  • Develop strategies for continuous improvements

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 20 years’ progressively increasing in systems, financial management and accounting experience; transportation and logistics industry a plus
  • 15 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role leading high performance teams
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepting accounting practices (GAAP) and relevant regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners at all levels throughout the organization
  • Ability to make change and have continuous business process improvement
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to create and implement business process improvements
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel & Internet applications
  • Success managing projects such as with operational systems, accounting systems, accounting integrations, etc.
  • Must possess the ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure, prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and maintain discretion on confidential matters
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional business units across multi-locations
  • CPA or CMA; financial planning and analysis a plus
  • Previous experience with Financial Management and Business Intelligence software; Oracle Cloud and PowerBI a plus
  • Previous experience with McLeod and Cargowise Transportation Management software a plus
  • Previous experience working at a Freight Forwarding and/or domestic truckload business is a major plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and inter-personal skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with people in all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing unmatched customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
