The Position : QA/QC Manager
Job Responsibilities :
Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining the quality and reliability of products and services, overseeing and assisting Quality Control by revising / developing / enforcing the Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) system, inspecting and testing products at various stages in the production process being manufactured for our dietary supplements, dosage form animal health product brand.
QA/QC Manager Duties:
The following reflects managements definition of essential functions for this job, but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
- Reviewing all completed production records and determine if product is suitable to be released
- Filing Records
- Assisting overseeing systems, procedures and records necessary to develop and manufacture dietary supplements and dosage form animal health products
- Ensure that SOP/TM are in compliance
- Schedule, perform, and participate in internal quality audits
- Label review and building supplement facts
- Perform substantiation of label claims with peer reviewed literature
- Assisting plant training programs and maintain program records
- Assist answering customer complaints, inquiries, and conduct investigations as needed
- Create, change, review SOPs
- Manage records of deviation reports accordingly to SOP
- Review and file cleaning logs and maintenance procedures
- Monitor and evaluate destruction procedures for rejected product
- Monitor employees for OPs and GMP compliance specific to their job duties and responsibilities.
- Assist purchasing, production scheduling, and inventory control
- Research and assist with creation of new products
- Proactive monitoring of changes to FDA, AAFCO, NASC requirements
QA/QC Manager Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a cGMP manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years in QC management positions preferred
- Strong knowledge of 21 CFR 111, 21 CFR 500, AAFCO OP, NASC guidelines
- Previous experience in the dietary supplement or dosage form animal health product industry preferable
- Acute attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to loud noise from machinery used in production; dust generated from many aspects of the production processes. Employees frequently operate equipment, and reach with hands, arms, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and may lift up to 60 lb repeatedly.
