Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, rest rooms, offices and other areas as assigned, cleaning and refinishing floors, cleaning walls and windows. Dust, mop and dry floors in rooms, offices and on units and vacuum carpets. Wash furniture, walls, doors, and other surfaces as assigned. Clean and polish metal and porcelain fixtures in rest rooms; clean mirrors; stock with soap and sanitary supplies. Empty wastebaskets; remove trash, and clean ashtrays. Replenish room supplies. Sanitize beds and perform checkout cleaning, as assigned. Clean isolation rooms, adhering to appropriate isolation techniques precisely. Clean lights, air vents and windows as assigned. Scrub floors with strippers / buffers to remove all soil and previous finish. Refinish floors to glossy appearance in designated areas. Move and arrange furniture for hospital function, as required. Pick up hospital trash / waste materials from designated areas. Transport trash to incinerator and dumpster area. Pick up soiled linen / laundry and deliver to Laundry as required. Mix a variety of cleaning and deodorizing solutions according to instructions. Maintain clean supply cart and closet areas. Maintain clean, functioning equipment; report breakdowns immediately. Attend in-service programs as required. Perform other and related duties, as assigned.Qualifications:Will require the following of written / oral instructions and 0 to 3 months experience.Pay: $15.97- $17.64 plus shift and weekend differentials
