Looking for a full time office employee who has working knowledge of Insurance/Billing/coding/Medical Assistant - essentially front office and/or back office. Job is in a Doctor's office - a Cardiology private practice in Southeast Houston. Candidate should know how to determine benefits eligibility, verify insurance, and obtain pre-authorizations for diagnostic Cardiology/Medical testing procedures via telephone and online. Procedures requiring verification may include cardiac cath, echos, nuclear stress tests, carotid and vascular ultrasounds, etc.

Should have experience with Medicare, Medicaid and all major private Insurance carriers. With regards to front office position, the candidate should have experience in check in and check out of patients, schedule appointments and address questions about insurance payments. With regards to back office position, experience should include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and EKGs, and submitting medicine refills.

EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience preferred, especially any experience using eClinicalWorks. Candidate must have excellent communication, typing and phone skills, Candidates with Cardiology background preferred, but experience in general medical office will also be considered.
