Responsibilities:
- Assist the doctors and patients chairside during treatment.
- Assist other dental assistants as a roving assistant (we utilize 2 assistants for 1 doctor, or 3 assistants for 2 doctors).
- Turnover and prepare treatment rooms.
- Seating patients and assessing needs, communicating to the doctors as needed.
- Process and sterilize instruments.
- Take digital x-rays (Air Techniques Scan-X PSP system).
- Take impressions and pour models.
- Scan for digital impressions (3Shape Trios Scanner).
- Ordering of supplies, management of lab cases and equipment maintenance.
- Anything else needed to make it all happen smoothly, efficiently, and with a happy and
successful outcome for all, what we do is a team sport.
- Must be good at multi-tasking and able to figure out what and how to do what needs to get
done without a lot of direction. - Great interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and love of learning are
invaluable. - Previous experience and knowledge of four handed dentistry.
- A working knowledge of Dentrix software would be helpful.
- Ability to cover front desk on occasion would be helpful.
- Hours needed: Mondays 10-7, Tuesdays 9-6, Thursdays 9-6, every third Saturday 8-1.
Pay: Flexible from $20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
