Pay Range: $22.29 - $26.94 per hour, based on experience.
Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the hospital in good repair. Minor electrical work, mechanical repairs, and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties.
Education/Training : High School diploma or equivalent. Able to follow written directions and record information using high school level literacy skills. Visual and auditory acuity. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Able to engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing. Able to work outdoors in extremes of heat and cold.
Experience : 3 years of experience in mechanical and steam maintenance work. Personal maturity, calmness of disposition, and a friendly supportive attitude are required, as is a willingness to learn.
Licensure, Registration or Certification : Valid NYS Driver's license with no current violations or suspensions. Must be able to drive both automatic and manual shift transmissions.
