**Description**
Kawasaki Precision Machinery, (U.S.A.), Inc., headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI and a division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., has an immediate opening for a Material Handler. This key role is a full-time position and eligible for a full benefits package which includes a 401K with immediate vesting. Visit for more information on Kawasaki Precisions hydraulics product line.
Summary:
As a Material Handler, this position with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy performs assigned warehouse duties, including stock control, order picking, packing, shipping and housekeeping.
Responsibilities:
* Accept deliveries, verifying piece count against bill of lading, inspect deliveries for damages and sign for shipment.
* When instructed, re-package items for added protection.
* Store received material and re-organizing stock as necessary.
* Inspect stock to verify the location contains the correct item number; if the stock is in re-saleable condition, and adequately packed.
* Select items using industrial truck or by hand to fill customer orders.
* Determine packaging requirements and pack items accordingly for shipment.
* Load packages into carrier vehicles.
* Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area.
* Work with supervisor in scheduling all labor to meet customer satisfaction.
Education & Experience:
* Minimum 1 year related experience in a warehouse environment.
* Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications Skills:
* Experience with Microsoft Office Software Excel, Word
* Able to obtain a Hilo Certification
* Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
* Close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
