    Position Overview:

    • The Project Manager/Team Leader is responsible managing all phases of the project, including project set-up, design, and construction administration. This individual plays a critical leadership role within Collective Architecture and ensures all projects conform to contract requirements.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships

    • Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements

    • Manage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets and set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultants

    • Manage and track financial performance of projects

    • Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and coordinate bidding process

    • Oversee and ensure projects adhere to contract requirements

    • Select and manage talent and resources for projects. Providing mentoring, coaching and development to talent resources

    • Assist in facilitating & producing accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of project

    • Provide timely positive and constructive feedback to project resources and project updates to principals

    • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction

    • Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts. Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and construction drawings

    • Participate in the preparation of presentations, design drawings and details

    • Perform additional duties and/or assist with other projects as needed

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred

    • LEED accreditation a plus

    • Architectural or Interior Design Registration required

    • Prior experience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teams

    • Experience with overseeing the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy

    • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on various project types. Strong abilities in managing fees, schedules and staffing resources

    • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques

    • Extensive knowledge of architectural principles and practices

    • Strong understanding of technical regulations and related code compliance

    • Experience in design and planning standards and FF&E procurement principles

    • Advanced technical and computer skills. High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Suite

    • Strong leadership and management skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

    • Exceptional organizational and planning skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-up

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and handle difficult situations with tact, grace and a high degree of professionalism

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a succinct and clear manner

    • Professional demeanor and presentation

    • Strong prioritization and planning skills. Ability to successfully manage projects and tasks with competing deadlines and priorities

    • Exceptional service orientation and commitment to excellence

    • Organizational agility. Ability to adapt and adjust quickly to change in priorities and project plans

    • Ability to travel as needed

    • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States

    • This position involves leading people and managing projects. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.     • This position involves occasional travel to meetings, client locations and for other business related matters.
