The Project Manager/Team Leader is responsible managing all phases of the project, including project set-up, design, and construction administration. This individual plays a critical leadership role within Collective Architecture and ensures all projects conform to contract requirements.
Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements
Manage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets and set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultants
Manage and track financial performance of projects
Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and coordinate bidding process
Oversee and ensure projects adhere to contract requirements
Select and manage talent and resources for projects. Providing mentoring, coaching and development to talent resources
Assist in facilitating & producing accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of project
Provide timely positive and constructive feedback to project resources and project updates to principals
Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction
Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts. Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and construction drawings
Participate in the preparation of presentations, design drawings and details
Perform additional duties and/or assist with other projects as needed
Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred
LEED accreditation a plus
Architectural or Interior Design Registration required
Prior experience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teams
Experience with overseeing the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy
Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on various project types. Strong abilities in managing fees, schedules and staffing resources
Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques

Extensive knowledge of architectural principles and practices
Strong understanding of technical regulations and related code compliance
Experience in design and planning standards and FF&E procurement principles
Advanced technical and computer skills. High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Suite
Strong leadership and management skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Exceptional organizational and planning skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-up
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and handle difficult situations with tact, grace and a high degree of professionalism
