As a Senior Test Engineer in the Harvesting Electrical and Electronic Systems Validation Team you will be responsible for planning, executing and documenting testing on electronic, electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems on crop harvesting equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans according to software specifications and conducts software testing both on site and in the field.
- Debugs and troubleshoots failed electronic components, mechanical and electrical assemblies, and software systems using test equipment and schematics.
- Supports troubleshooting of issues as they occur from electrical and software viewpoints, including hands on vehicle work with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Analyze and review electrical architecture for troubleshooting, validation, and root cause analysis
- Collects and evaluates test data and compiles into report(s). Understand and use data to support the development team to resolve operational issues and introduce new design modifications. Evaluates test specifications and process for opportunities to revise and improve.
- Conducts root cause analysis of in-service problems (operational hazards, homologation, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, reliability and maintainability trends, safety hazards and failure cause and effects) and implements corrective action.
- Contribute to software and system engineering design/development activity and related problem solving
- Being a subsystem technical expert or project team lead.
- Mentoring, assisting, and training entry level personnel.
- This position pays $88,000 to $132,000. (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS or greater in Mechanical, Electrical, Agriculture, or related engineering disciplines.
- 6 years experience in relevant field
- Ability to travel both domestic and international as required to achieve objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ag/Off-highway equipment and or an Agriculture background
- Demonstrated written and oral communication with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Experience or interest with software and controls of mechanical systems with a basic understanding of software development.
