Role Overview:

Precision Glass Industries, a leader in architectural glass fabrication located in Houston, TX, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial machinery, ensuring optimal performance through preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance practices. This role involves performing machine diagnostics, conducting repairs, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing necessary PPE, and ensuring a safe working environment across the company.
• Conduct risk assessments for maintenance activities and apply control measures to prevent incidents.
• Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures effectively.
• Comply with regulations and standards in the glass production industry.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to understand controls and operations.
• Participate in the installation of machines and new project initiatives.
• Disassemble, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Test and adjust machinery to ensure its proper function.
• Execute corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Analyze equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support the achievement of maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as downtime reduction, maintenance efficiency, and timely response to departmental requests.
• Develop and refine maintenance processes and procedures.
• Promote and enforce cleanliness and organization in the production area using 5S principles.
• Facilitate effective communication with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in glass manufacturing or similar industries.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving results.
