Position Purpose
Under the supervision of the Standardized Patient Educator, the Standardized Patient (SP) simulates/models the role of a patient by portraying scenarios to enhance medical student’s clinical skills. Physical examination of SP’s entire body by medical students and physicians is required with exception of rectal, pelvic, genital, female breast, and corneal reflex examinations. This role is part-time and scheduled on an as-needed basis (per-diem).
