The staff occupational therapist evaluates and treats patients under orders from the referring physician. Evaluation and treatment programs are developed through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to meet the patient's needs and to improve movement and function and ability to complete ADL's. The Licensed Occupational Therapist will follow the plan of care and will be repsonsible for carrying out that plan of care. The Ocupational Therapist effectively utilizes the resources of the occupational therapy services to accomplish the goals of the department. This position oversees the supervision of support staff to ensure quality of care and maximum productivity. The Occuational Therapist functions in accordance with their State Practice Act.
