Description

We are looking for a Strategic Operations Specialist to support our Sales Associates and their customers in navigating large national account programs, eCommerce solutions, and inventory management initiatives. In this role you will also help drive sales strategies, facilitate program implementations, and foster customer relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales/Customer Relationship Support:
  • Partner with Sales Associates to qualify sales opportunities and to strategize the best way to build a program based on the needs of the Associate and customer.
  • Write customer proposals and develop responses to large RFP's.
  • Drive large customer presentations and trainings on site and via webinar.
  • Manage multi-faceted program implementations.
    • Schedule and lead meetings with Sales Associate, customer and key internal departments to ensure programs are implemented within the agreed upon scope and timeframes.
    • Capture key information needed in order to successfully implement a program.
    • Brainstorm with internal teams to develop unique and creative methods to overcome obstacles and meet customer needs.
  • Write, review and edit service agreements and other accompanying documents.
  • Work with Sales Associates and their customers to conduct regular reviews to assess goals/objectives and to establish upsell/cross sell initiatives.
  • SOS point of contact for large sales hubs. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas to streamline communication and processes.
Process Improvement:
  • Assist SOS Team Lead and Director with the development, launch and maintenance of online tools and educational material to assist with program implementations and onboarding.
  • Work with SOS Team Lead and Director to develop and launch content for upcoming Sales Associate education/webinars/videos.
  • Identify future eCommerce enhancements based on marketplace trends and customer/Sales Associate input.
  • Partner with SOS Team Lead and Director to identify process improvements to streamline program implementations.
  • Partner with new SOS hires and provide job shadowing to assist with training and development.

Education and/or Experience
Required: High School Diploma with a minimum of five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in marketing, sales or other business-related field with two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write clear and concise reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, auditors and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Must be proficient in performing detailed numerical computations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Additional Skills and Abilities
Must have proven project management and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate ideas and strategies into functional solutions. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel is required. Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail. Must be flexible and able to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing work environment with aggressive deadlines.
Other Qualifications
Occasional overnight travel is required; must possess valid driver's license.
